Federation was formed in the summer of 2011 by Ben Lost and Rich Solarstone, and with the arrival of Dave Moth in 2013 they developed a sound that incorporated New Wave, Goth, and Industrial influences, whilst retaining that love of thumping late 90's Trance. If you like melodic synthwave, then you cannot ignore this cheerful record. There are very nice tracks on this album, such as the beautiful, energetic and at the same time charming "Metropolis", the smooth, playful "Bayside", the almost epic sounding "Orion" which is easily the best song of the album and also "Santa Cruz" has a memorable feel to it with its compelling and catchy theme. Sunset and Memories is a very nice synthwave record that invites to be played every time.
